Stephen C. Settlement Agreement Notice

Havasupai Community:

Community members who attended Havasupai Elementary School at any time between the 2011-2012 and 2020-2021 school years qualify for compensatory education benefits per the Stephen C. Settlement Agreement.

Most qualifying individuals are awarded $3,593.00 to use for compensatory education services.

This includes but is not limited to:

• State-certified or licensed programs
• Non-public academic or therapeutic programs
• Camps
• Post-secondary educational programs
• Tutoring or counseling services
• Extracurricular or athletic activities
• Technical or vocational programs
• Equipment (books, technology, software applications, etc.)
• Testing and certification costs
• Travel (transportation, food and lodging)
• Other services educational in nature
